At Notre Dame College, Parent Information Sessions are held at the beginning of the school year to outline class expectations, routines, curriculum, assessment and general information.
In line with the current Australian Government legislative requirements, formal reporting relating to student progress and achievement takes place twice per year – the end of Semester 1 and end of Semester 2. A five-point scale is utilised to provide parents and students with a clear indication of achievement in each Key Learning Area. Reports are uploaded electronically to the Parent Portal at the end of Semester 1 and Semester 2.
Informal reporting between parents and teachers is encouraged. Appointments throughout the year between parents and teachers are welcomed to share information and build positive relationships to support student learning. These meetings can be initiated by the teacher or parents.
Formal Parent Teacher Interviews will occur at the end of Term 1 to share information regarding students work habits and achievements. Celebrations of Learning will also occur throughout the year.
